The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic, men’s fraternal organization dedicated to supporting our Church, our Holy Father, Bishops, Priests, family and community. Father Michael J. McGivney started the Order on March 29, 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut to protect widows and orphans from financial devastation and to keep families from being torn apart.
Since our beginning, Brother Knights around the world have contributed millions of dollars and millions of hours to support worthwhile charities and help others grow in their faith. Through our core values of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, we stand together in the fight for Life and in defending our Catholic faith throughout the world. We are also one of the highest rated Life Insurance companies in North America, to assist our families when they are most in need. Our portfolio includes term life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability insurance, long term care insurance, retirement plans and retirement planning.
There are more than 15,000 councils worldwide and over 1.9 million members.
We Knights support the following programs:
We also have opportunities for events to help solidify and support our Council.
