What a blessing to be able to join the wonderful Resurrection family! It is a daunting task to follow in the footsteps of the magnificent David Dondlinger, who has been a staple of this community both at the school and at the parish. I am incredibly grateful to him for the foundation he has laid and for the welcome and assistance he has already extended to me. How delightful to know that he will still be involved at the parish level so that our young people (and myself!) can continue to benefit from his wealth of knowledge and passion for music.
A little bit about myself! I graduated from Benedictine College (also the Ravens!) with a degree in music education. I then took a job at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School teaching music, while also pursuing a master's degree at WSU. After receiving my masters I then continued at St. Margaret Mary, joining the middle school team to teach religion in addition to my music teaching duties. I then took some time away from the classroom and worked for the Catholic School Office downtown, gaining experience in the administrative side of our school system. But I missed the young people! So, I was pleased to be able to take this job teaching music at Resurrection. I will also teach music two mornings a week at St. Joseph Catholic School in Wichita.
I am very much looking forward to meeting all the students and parents at RCS, as well as the wider parish family as I am able! I beg your prayers for me, and please know of my prayers for you all. We must support each other on the journey!
Here's to a wonderful school year!
