The Parish School of Religion (PSR) is a catechetical program for K-12 students, taught by volunteer instructors. PSR is open to all parishioners, and is especially recommended for public and homeschool students. The Parish School of Religion provides valuable catechesis, as well as a fun and friendly environment in which they can socialize and learn together with their peers.
Welcome to the 2026–2027 PSR Year! Registration Is Open
The PSR team is excited to welcome your children to a year of fun, friendship and spiritual growth. Classes are held in our very own RCS school building on Wednesdays (K-5) and Sundays (6-12). PSR is open to all children in the parish, grades K-12.
PSR registration fees ($15 for an individual child or $30 per family) can also be paid online (https://secure.myvanco.com/L-Z50C/home) or in the parish office.

Holy Days of Obligation that fall on weekdays are highlighted in gold. I have also included several other important celebrations in the Church's liturgical year. Although these are not all Holy Days of Obligation (unless they fall on a Sunday), they are wonderful opportunities to celebrate our faith as a family by attending Mass or observing the day together at home.
Fast Facts for the 2026–2027 PSR Year
Information Sessions – Wednesday, September 9
- First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion Information Session: 6:00–6:45 p.m.
- General PSR Information Session: 7:00–7:30 p.m.
Childcare will be provided on the playground.
PSR Classes
- Kindergarten–5th Grade: Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 p.m., beginning September 16, 2026
- 6th–12th Grade: Sundays, 9:45–10:45 a.m., beginning September 20, 2026
Homeschool Families
Homeschool students are welcome to participate in our school-day Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) program when space is available.
Step 1: Check School-Day Availability
Before registering, please contact Fr. Labenz and Mrs. Klincik to find out whether space is available in the appropriate school-day CGS session for your child. Please CC PSR on your email.
If space is not available during the school day, homeschool students are welcome to participate in our regular Wednesday evening CGS program.

Once your child’s placement has been confirmed, please return to this page to complete the CGS/PSR registration.
Please note: Fr. Labenz and Mrs. Klincik are your contacts for determining availability in the school-day program. All homeschool families should complete the CGS/PSR registration on this page, whether their child participates during the school day or on Wednesday evening.

First Reconciliation (2nd Grade): Saturday, April 3, 2027, at 1:30 p.m.
First Holy Communion (2nd Grade): Sunday, April 4, 2027, during the 11:00 a.m. Mass

Confirmation (6th & 7th Grade): Wednesday, May 5, 2027, at 6:30 p.m.

If your child is outside these grade levels but is interested in preparing to receive one or more of these Sacraments, please contact us. We are happy to work with families to determine the appropriate preparation for your child.
