Members of the Bereavement Ministry serve as liaisons between the grieving family, the pastor, and the mortuary. Upon notification of the death of a parishioner, the bereavement ministers assist the family with the logistics of the funeral while the pastor handles the liturgy.  Also, the ministers work with the music director, the parish secretary, and the various groups that are in charge of the vigil receptions and funeral meals. The bereavement ministers attend the vigil, funeral Mass, and the meal after the funeral.

After the funeral, at various intervals letters of support are sent to the family. On All Souls Day, a memorial Mass is said in honor of all the parishioners that have passed during the past year.  After the Mass, a Remembrance Candle is available to the family of the deceased.

The Bereavement Ministry includes many members that are called "Prayer Warriors." They attend the funeral services when possible and pray privately for the deceased and family.
